By authorizing service (whether verbally, electronically, or in writing), the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions:
- Cosmetic Risk Acknowledgment
Certain repairs require disassembly of devices that may have tightly secured or fragile components. While reasonable care is exercised, minor cosmetic imperfections (including small tool marks or surface wear) may occur and are considered inherent risks of repair. Rocket Computer Repairs is not liable for minor cosmetic changes resulting from necessary service procedures.
- No Guarantee of Repair Outcome
Customer acknowledges that not all devices can be successfully repaired. In cases of severe hardware failure, liquid damage, prior repair attempts, manufacturer defects, or unknown internal damage, repair may not be possible. Diagnostic and labor charges apply regardless of repair outcome.
- Data Loss Disclaimer
Customer understands that data loss may occur during diagnostic, repair, or recovery attempts. While reasonable efforts are made to preserve data, Rocket Computer Repairs does not guarantee successful data recovery and is not responsible for lost, corrupted, or unrecoverable data, regardless of cause. Customer is solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of important data prior to service.
- Limited Workmanship Warranty (30 Days)
Repairs include a 30-day limited workmanship warranty covering only the specific issue addressed. This warranty does not cover new issues, unrelated failures, physical damage, liquid exposure, software corruption, malware reinfection, or user-caused damage. After 30 days, additional service will be billed at standard rates.
- Pre-Existing & Progressive Damage
Devices with prior damage may worsen during repair due to hidden structural or internal weaknesses. Rocket Computer Repairs is not liable for failure of components that were previously compromised.
- Payment & Possession
Full payment is due upon completion of service. Rocket Computer Repairs reserves the right to retain possession of equipment until payment is received.
- Abandoned Property
Devices not claimed within 30 days after notification of completion may be considered abandoned property. Rocket Computer Repairs reserves the right to charge reasonable storage fees and/or dispose of abandoned equipment in accordance with applicable laws.
- Limitation of Liability & Exclusion of Consequential Damages
Rocket Computer Repairs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or sentimental/emotional value associated with lost data, photographs, or files. Customer acknowledges that data recovery and repair services carry inherent risks and that recovery success is not guaranteed. In all cases, Rocket Computer Repairs’ total liability for any claim arising out of services performed shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service provided. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory asserted.
